What tactical boots to choose?

In one of the blogs, we have already mentioned what features to pay attention to when choosing tactical shoes. However, we thought that we would introduce you to some specific models so that you can have some point of reference. We have selected a few pairs, representing specific price shelves, so you will also be able to see more or less what to expect from models in specific amounts.
In our opinion, the key aspect - comfort - depends on the ergonomics of the footwear and our personal preferences. It should be our benchmark, regardless of the amount we want to spend on shoes. During the several-hour walk, we will survive without the quick lacing system, but the abrasive, badly sewn upper can effectively make our lives difficult.
Military boots up to 50 EUR
As you probably guessed, we won't expect futuristic accessories at the lowest price point. However, we should expect comfort and build quality, maybe not impressive, but one that will allow us to use them, at least 3 seasons. When choosing budget military boots, we should even avoid all kinds of "goodies" - they usually mean that the manufacturer has decided to redirect resources to the visual improvement of the shoe, and not its better performance.

In the stock up to 50 EUR, we can definitely recommend shoes from the British company Zephyr Workgear, for example the ZX07 model. Extremely simple, with a very classic design, but made better than 90% of competitively priced models. The sole is soft and flexible - it works well on paved terrain, showing cushioning. In addition, they have a well-made quick lacing system, and the pedigree of the company that produces protective industrial footwear makes the Zephyr models have oil resistance standards and compliance with the requirements of Directive 89/686 / EEC and PN EN 347
Tactical boots up to 70 EUR
In the vicinity of PLN 300, we will always recommend Grom footwear, the Polish company Protektor. Why? First of all, this model is a proven classic for years - despite the somewhat hackneyed design, we are guaranteed quality and ergonomics. Secondly - a solution that is very rare in this price range - the sole is bonded to the upper by injection, not with glue. This guarantees a considerable advantage of the strength of the structure - after all, shoes are most often damaged in the place where the sole is joined. The quick-binding system is also present here.

Around 100 EUR - Merrell MOAB Tactical Defense boots
Merrell is already a slightly higher shelf - a manufacturer recognized for years on the international arena, mainly thanks to great outdoor shoes - trekking and trail shoes. The MOAB Tactical Defense model is a light footwear designed for typically tactical use. We do not recommend it for rough terrain, but in urban conditions it will shine. Low weight, great comfort, great stabilization of the ankle and lateral support of the sole - MOAB TD will work well as an element of equipment for a policeman, security agency worker and airsoft player.

125 EUR - Merrell MOAB 2 - a proven platform in the latest edition
Another model from Merrell - MOAB 2 is practically transferring the flagship trekking platform into military-tactical realities. The version, equipped with the M-Select ™ DRY membrane, is a fully-fledged off-road shoe that will work well in forest conditions. The model with a price shelf of about PLN 500 will already be equipped with the brand Vibram® - a sole from the most popular manufacturer of this type of elements. In addition, we can expect exemplary ergonomics and comfort-supporting systems such as the built-in Merrell air cushioning cushion or the perfectly supporting Kinetic Fit ™ Advanced insole.

150 EUR and more - a wide selection of tactical boots - LOWA Zephyr, Z6N, Z8N With a budget of PLN 700, we can expect a lot. This price level allows us to choose from among manufacturers' offers. Therefore, the focus should be on how to best match the shoes to our preferences and use. Do we need light and airy shoes for desert conditions? The light, breathable Wolverine leather in the Bates shoes should suit us. High stabilization and incredibly good workmanship - the models from LOWA will certainly suit us.

Based on our experience, we strongly recommend the Zephyr and Z6S models from LOWA - extremely universal, perfectly ergonomic and, at least in our opinion, very aesthetic. We sell a lot of them, we also use them ourselves and so far it will be our number 1.
