Spyderco - Civilian™ G-10 Black Knife - C12GS

Civilian G-10 Black in 1990 at the request of government agencies Spyderco undertook the execution of a knife for secret civilian agents. These officers were in places or situations in which they could not carry firearms and their training in defense techniques with a knife was insufficient. The Civilian folder was designed as an extremely effective defense tool. On the inserted leaflet, the manufacturer informs that the warranty does not cover damage caused during everyday use.

Blade - 3 mm thickness, with an aggressive shape made of Japanese VG-10 stainless steel (high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage). The blade is hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. The Satin Finish (semi-matte) coating eliminates glare. Spyder serrated blade in the shape of an inverted letter "S" (Spyderco patent), with a concave cut (Hollow Grind) enables effective inflicting of deep cuts with considerable force on both the serrated cutting surface and ultra thin tip. On the back of the blade, the ramp under the thumb. The SpyderHole round cut-out (Spyderco patent) allows you to open the knife with your thumb. The blade lock (Back-Lock) with additional protection against accidental release of the blockade (notch in the blockade) of David Boye's project.  
 
Handle - covered with non-slip textured pads made of G-10 in black. The safety of use increases the ergonomic profiling of the handle to ensure a comfortable and secure grip. The whole was screwed with Philips screws. The penknife is equipped with a solid, screw-on metal clip with the possibility of fixing in two planes (Right Tip-up / Tip-down). In the back of the handle was placed for the cable.  
 
Case - the knife is packed in a sponge-lined zippered case.  
 
Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) a serrated blade usually has a few millimeter smooth blade on the tip side. Spyder blade consists alternately of one large and two small teeth called „two-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to the straight edge. Perfect for cutting, inflicting deep wounds, cutting hard materials, including bones.
