A classic utility knife, created in cooperation KA-BAR with the acclaimed knifemaker Ethan Becker, based on a model designed by the legendary Horace Kephart.
Known for creating one of the first outdoor handbooks "Camping and Woodcraft", Horace Kephart is considered the father of modern bushcraft. The knife developed by him was created to satisfy all the needs of the field situations with his versatility.
Becker adapted the tool to modern realities using high quality 1095 Cro-Van steel and leading the blade in a full tang construction, thanks to which the knife is characterized by above-average durability. The drop point dropping head with a full flat cut and a 20 degree angle guarantees excellent cutting properties. The smooth surface finish protects the steel against corrosion and gives it a raw, classic character.
The grip of the hilt was made of walnut wood and styled to give the impression of field wear. The modernized system of their assembly is based on screws with a hexagonal hole, instead of as in the original on rivets. This allows you to easily personalize the knife.
The high-quality leather pouch, like the knife, perfectly reproduces the original, and is equipped with a polymer insert to limit its wear. The classic way of mounting on a leather loop will allow for use on belts up to 60 mm wide.
Made in USA.
