Ka-Bar BK62 - Becker Kephart Knife
Becker Kephart Knife Ka-Bar BK62
Becker Kephart BK62 knife created in cooperation with the Ka-Bar company with the renowned knifemaker Ethan Becker. The design was based on a model designed by the legendary traveler - Horace Kephart. Known for creating one of the first outdoor textbooks "Camping and Woodcraft", Horace Kephart is considered the father of modern bushcraft. The knife developed by him was created to meet all the needs of off-road situations with its versatility.
Becker adapted the tool to modern realities using the highly impact-resistant carbon 1095 Cro-Van steel. The full steel construction of the knife (Full Tang) makes the model devoid of critical points, making it perfect for heavy work such as baring. The blade with a drop point profile, with a full flat cut and a cutting edge at an angle of 20 degrees guarantees excellent cutting properties. A smooth stonewash surface finish protects the steel against corrosion and gives it a raw, classic character.
The handles are made of walnut wood and styled to give the impression of being disturbed by the teeth of time. The modernized assembly system is based on screws with a hexagonal hole, instead of rivets as in the original - this allows for easy personalization of the knife.
The high-quality leather sheath, just like the knife, perfectly reproduces the original, and has been equipped with a polymer insert that reduces its wear. The classic way of mounting on a leather loop allows it to be used on belts for trousers up to 60 mm wide.
Made in the USA. Like all Ka-BAR knives, it is covered by lifetime manufacturer's warranty.
