Second generation Viper PST scope from Vortex very well known company in the shooting environment, specializing in designing and producing professional optics for firearms. The variable approximate 5-25x is successfully suitable for precise shooting on medium and long distances , and the technologies used in it effectively improve image quality and increase the resistance of lenses to mechanical damage.
One-piece tube with a diameter of 30 mm is made of anodized air aluminum 6061-T6, thanks to which hunting telescope Viper PST II has high durability for mechanical damage, vibrations caused by weapon jet flammable, as well as the optimal weight of 885 g. The whole has been specially sealed, which allows to use it in moist and rainy conditions, and the interior of the telescope was filled with argon to ensure resistance to evaporation.
The use of 30 mm tubus allowed to achieve a larger range of sights compared to other models with an inch tubus. The full range of the cross is 70 MOA vertically and 35 MOA horizontally, and is made using the open turrets in a tactical style with a clearly applied scale. The shape and size of the turrets is convenient to use even in tactical gloves and allows quick application amendment in regulation.
In addition, in the new generation the manufacturer has integrated the knob responsible for the regulation of the brightness of the backlight of the sights with parallax regulation tower. This solution significantly improves the ergonomics of the telescope and allows the user to change the settings faster.
In the Viper PST II optical system consists of advanced XD lenses covered with XR coating , which is patented by Vortex multi-layer anti-reflective coating improving the permeability of lights. The combination of low dispersion XD glasses with XR coatings generates an incredibly pronounced high-resolution image that facilitates quick identification and hitting the target. The ArmorTek coating is responsible for external protection of the lenses, effectively protecting against scratches, oil spots or all dirt.
The large eye relief means that the shooting scope can also be easily used by users with visual impairment who use corrective lenses. On the other hand, the quick adjustment of the image zoom in the range of 5-25x is made with a knurled, and thus convenient to use ring .
In Viper PST Gen. II the manufacturer used EBR-4 sights with backlight, located in the background (Second Focal Plane). Thanks to the SFL cross, its scale is a constantly clear absolute approach to the set-up. Sam the cross has been embedded between two layers of glass, which further provides durability and reliability.
Ten-speed backlight adjustment is made using a knob placed on the side of the telescope. The lowest highlight levels allow the use of the telescope in combination with night vision. The wide range of adjustment allows you to adapt the backlight to the preferences of the shooter and the prevailing conditions and time of day.
