Spyderco - Endura® 4 FRN Flat Ground Purple Knife - C10FPPR
In 1990, Spyderco introduced two knife models to the market: Endura and Delica, thus creating demand for lightweight folders opened with one hand at an affordable price. These products became bestsellers. Thanks to their small size and low weight, they are excellent proposals for everyday use as EDC knives.
The blade - made of Japanese stainless steel VG-10 (easy to sharpen, good sharpness) hardened in the range 59-61 HRC. Satin Finish coating (half-matte). The Plain smooth blade is derived from a Full Flat Grind that reduces weight and improves cutting properties. A corrugated thumb ramp on the back of the blade. SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened with one hand. Back-Lock head lock with additional protection against accidental release of the lock during a strong grip (cut-out in the lock) designed by David Boye.
The handle is a fashionable purple colour. Bi-Directional Texturing reinforces the grip even in wet hands. Made of FRN, glass-fibre reinforced nylon. The folder is equipped with a solid metal screw clip with the possibility of mounting it in four planes (up/down, right/left) - 4-way clip positions. The grooved notch on the handle (Spine Jimping) increases comfort and grip security.
Skeleton - knife reinforced with two steel plates with cut-out holes to which the lining is attached. This ensures high strength and low weight of the knife. The whole was screwed with torx screws. Phosphor bronze pads facilitate opening and closing the pocket knife.
