Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara 2 Rescue FRN Orange Spyder is another model of a rescue knife from the Byrd knife series (Spyderco product line). It combines high usability, excellent quality of materials and really good price. It has a serrated blade (which guarantees great cutting properties). It perfectly copes with fibrous materials such as belts, ropes, clothes, etc. The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV steel (Japanese equivalent of AUS-8 steel), thanks to which the knife is resistant to damage and blunting.
Blade is equipped with a characteristic gap in the shape of a teardrop, which allows you to open the knife with one hand, using the thumb (both right and left hand). On the top and bottom of the blade at its base there are special grooved planes, whose task is to increase the stability of the grip while operating the knife - they are perfectly shaped under the thumb and under the index finger, they operate slip-resistant.
A back-lock type was used. The knife handle is made of FRN material (it is a glass fiber reinforced nylon). The knife lies in your hand and allows you to work precisely. At the end of the handle there is a gap that allows you to hang the knife on a cord or on a leash.
The penknife has a detachable clip - a clip, which allows you to attach it in four planes and attach it to the belt loop from the belt or the edge of the pocket.
