Karambit a type of knife, which was born in Indonesia, with roots dating back to Malaysia and the Philippines - its use was documented as early as in the 11th century. It is characterized by an inverted handle with an opening for the index finger. The rounded shape of the blade is very effective in cutting - the blade imitates the way a tiger's claw tears - piercing and cutting.
Emerson Opener (Emerson Wave) - the karambit has an Ernest Emerson patented hook on the back of the head that allows for quick opening of the wedge when removing the knife from the trouser pocket by attaching the hook to the edge of the pocket.
Blade - with a Tanto profile, 3 mm thick, made of durable, sharp-pointed, high-cobalt stainless steel N690Co of hardness 58-60 HRC manufactured at the Austrian Böhler smelter. The blade is covered with a black, scratch-resistant, matt non-reflective PTFE coating. The Plain-type smooth blade has a flat grinding (Saber Grind) for effective cutting with both the cutting surface and the ultra-thin tip. Finger Choil, curved index finger undercut and a notched thumb ramp on the back of the head increase control of the blade. Liner-Lock.
Handle - covered with non-slip textured scales made of G-10 (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals). The knife is equipped with a robust three-screw torx metal clip that allows you to carry the knife in the tip-up position (tip up). The end of the handle is finished with an enlarged rounded polished head in the shape of a ring to perform traditional knife techniques - it makes it easy to quickly turn the knife around a finger in the head's hole. Spine Jimping notching on the back of the handle increases comfort and confidence of grip, especially when the hands are wet.
