Spyderco - Tropen™ G-10 Black Knife - C237GP
CPM S30V - corrosion resistant, resistant to mechanical stress American powder steel with the addition of carbon, chromium and vanadium, hardness 58-59 HRC. This unique steel is designed for the production of high-quality blades and knives. Made in the USA at Crucible Inc.
Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) patented by the Spyderco company lock mechanism for the blade. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. The handle on the back protects the knife against unintentional closing. When locking, the fingers are not in the way of the folding blade.
The blade - 3.5 mm thick. The wide, smooth Plain blade, radically curved, was brought out with a Full Flat Grind. Embedded on washers with ball bearings with a low coefficient of friction, it ensures a smooth blade rotation at the opening. The flat cut guarantees perfect cutting edge geometry, reduces the weight of the knife and exhibits a satin finish. In the open position, the flipper fulfills the role of a functional cover (one-sided bite) protecting the hand from sliding off the handle.
The handle - covered with precisely machined, rounded G-10 plastic covers, provides a comfortable grip, an ergonomic streamlined shape and exclusive texture. The cut in one of the cladding guarantees intuitive access to the SpyderHole cut. The metal one-position clip (right-handed) allows you to carry the knife in the tip-up position (tip up).
