Manix 2 Lightweight Gray Maxamet Plain, the second generation of the most recognizable Spyderco knife, the best EDC folder. Extremely light, made of Maxamet, the innovative Carpenter® steel alloy. Equipped with one of the strongest ball bearing locking mechanisms Ball Bearing-Lock. Produced in the Spyderco factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).

Micro-Melt® Maxamet - extremely hard and durable modern American powder tool steel with low coefficient of friction. Going beyond conventional tool steels, parameters similar to sintered carbides - ultra-hard materials used to process other steels. This phenomenal steel is manufactured in the USA by Carpenter Technology Corporation.

Ball Bearing-Lock - one of the strongest locking mechanisms on the blade. Hardened ball bearing placed in a black polymer basket in the open position pressed against the blade by means of a spring. Made in USA.

Blade - with Leaf-Shaped profile, thickness 3.2 mm. The blade was covered with a non-reflective matte Stone Washed coating (masking small scratches created during operation). Smooth blade (Plain type) smooth blade is made with a full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). The flat cut provides excellent cutting edge geometry with a sharp point. An enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole cut-out (Spyderco patent) allows you to open the knife also in the glove. Clear Finger Choil - an arched cut under the index finger and a notched thumb ramp on the back of the blade increase control over the knife.

Handle - in gray color. Made of lightweight FRCP material, it has bi-directional anti-slip texture (Bi-Directional Texturing) providing an excellent grip in all conditions (also with greasy, wet hands). The folder is equipped with a screwed clip made of molded wire (left / right-handed) that allows carrying the knife in the tip-up position (tip up). Spine Jimping ribbing of the incision on the back of the handle increases comfort and grip. In the back of the grip was placed a gap (lanyard hole) - used to pull the leash or safety rope.
