The HS512C Enclosed reflex sight from Holosun. The user can set one of three aiming points, making it quick and easy to customize the reflex sight to the shooter's preference.
The HS512C Enclosed Reflex Multiple Reticle System™ Sight has an open frame for a wide sight picture. It is powered by solar cell under normal usage, and a back-up battery to supplement power requirements in low light conditions.The electronic control system in combination with an efficient LED diode make the device characterized by high efficiency and stable, long-term operation. The system is powered by a single 2032 battery with a theoretical operating time of 50,000 h at the sixth point intensity setting.
The red dot is equipped with a system of advanced, multi-layer coated lenses. This solution allowed excellent visible light transmission. The image visible through the lens is clear, bright and parallax free.
Sights equipped with Solar Failsafe technology have an efficient solar cell that allows powering and regulating the system. In the event of intense lighting, whether natural or artificial, the device is fully solar-powered. Thus, if the battery is completely discharged, it will still be functional. In the case of lower light intensity panel will work, supporting the battery.
An additional function of the Solar Failsafe system is the automatic adjustment of the brightness of the reticle. In the case of high brightness, brightens the spot to keep it visible. In a darker environment, however, it limits the brightness so that it does not obstruct the aiming.
The model is also equipped with the Shake Awake system that facilitates battery saving. After 10 minutes of inactivity, the device goes into sleep mode. To wake them up, just move the weapon on which it was mounted.
The reflex sight is equipped with the Multi Reticle System, which allows the user to set the desired shape of the aiming point. There is a choice of three points: a classic 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle and a combination of both. All target point shapes are displayed using a single LED, so there is no need to reset the device after changing the shape.

The lens in my red dot sight is skewed, should it be like that?
Yes, in the case of enclosed red dot sights with the emitter at 4 o'clock, the lens must be tilted to properly reflect light towards the user's eyes.
