Developed as part of the
Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS), the Level 7 jacket is conceived as a final, top layer of clothing. It can be successfully combined and worn together with numerous deeper layers of clothing - such as a
fleece jacket - to provide adequate protection for the conditions.
The jacket's hood can be conveniently adjusted without taking your hands out of your pockets with drawstrings hidden in the chest pockets.
Two
fleece-lined pockets on the chest provide hand protection against frostbite.
